“Being rich is not about how much money you have or how many homes you own; it’s the freedom to buy any book you want without looking at the price and wondering if you can afford it. Of course, you have to read the books, too. Nothing is more impotent than an unread library… You should never read just for “enjoyment.” Read to make yourself smarter! Less judgmental. More apt to understand your friends’ insane behavior, or better yet, your own. Pick “hard books.” Ones you have to concentrate on while reading. And for God’s sake, don’t let me ever hear you say, “I can’t read fiction. I only have time for the truth.” Fiction is the truth, fool! Ever heard of “literature”? That means fiction, too, stupid.” —Role Models, John Waters. (via lianeandthemusic)

I hate It when I’m walking somewhere and someone else is walking towards me and they don’t even attempt to move out of the way so we can both get past each other and go about our business. They just expect me to do so whilst they charge on not even flinching.

I always say I’m not going to anymore but then I always do, it’s just good manners, something that a lot of people are lacking!

I feel like they want me to stop completely to let them past and applaud them as they walk by.

Seriously I’d rather have that awkward scenario when you both go to move out of the way but both move the same way and then you both do the same again! It’s incredibly awkward and slightly embarrassing but at least you are both being well mannered and offering to move out of the way for each other.

Just thought I’d have a rant about this as it is always happening to me and happened at least three times this morning on my way to and from the shops around the corner.
